The BMW 6 Series Overview
Continuing with its athletic performance character and distinctive profile defined by unique and voluptuous curves, the BMW 6 Series Coupe for 2011 offers more opportunity for the customer to tailor the 650i to their personal preferences.

The 6 Series Coupe has been thoughtfully refined to emphasize the perfect proportions of the BMW 6 Series body even more, and update the overall look. By enhancing the distinctive spoiler lip on the trunk lid, the rear appears even more sporty, while the revised front and rear bumper and sportier rocker-panels further add to the car's dynamic impact.

The 6 Series includes BMW's 4th generation iDrive system, lane departure warning, active cruise control with stop & go, and a new high-beam assistant feature along with a 4.8-liter V-8 engine which delivers 360 horsepower at 6,300 rpm and 360 lb-ft of torque at 3,400 rpm for pure driving pleasure. As well as  run-flat tires and tire pressure monitor are standard features on the 6 Series.

The Lexus SC Overview

Virtually unchanged since its introduction in 2001, the Lexus SC 430 is a 2+2 convertible with a retractable hard roof. Under the hood the V-8 engine produces 288 hp and 317 lb-ft. torque.

The shorter length of the Lexus compromises rear seating space; Edmunds called the rear seats "completely useless". A well-regarded touch-screen navigation system is standard.

Overall Edmunds.com states, "If you're looking for a convertible sports car with sharp handling and aggressive performance, other offerings will serve you better, as blistering acceleration and razor-sharp handling aren't a part of the SC's pedigree."

What BMW offers…

The 650i offers 360 hp and 360 lb-ft of torque to take the coupe from 0to 60 in 5.3 seconds with the standard 6-speed manual transmission. With the optional 6-speed Sport Automatic transmission, the 0-to-60 time is 5.4 seconds.

What Lexus doesn’t…

The SC 430 is powered by a 4.3-liter V-8 with 288 hp @ 5600 rpm and 317 lb-ft @ 3400 rpm. The only available transmission is a 6-speed sequential-shift automatic. The EPA estimated mpg is a 19 city/35 highway
