While these two models are not the M models of the 2021 X3 lineup, there is an optional M Sport Package that adds several sporty touches to both the sDrive30i and xDrive30i.

BMW X3 xDrive30e

The 2021 BMW X3 xDrive30e offers a more fuel-efficient design for customers who are looking for better fuel economy. The 2021 xDrive30e utilizes both a twin-turbocharged combustion engine and an electric motor to produce 310 pound-feet of torque. The electric motor is capable of traveling up to 18 miles without the twin-turbocharged 2.0-liter gas-powered engine.

BMW X3 M40i

The 2021 BMW X3 M40i was developed with performance in mind. The model can travel from 0 miles per hour to 60 miles per hour in 4.4 seconds. The model uses a twin-turbocharged inline-six motor to achieve quick speeds and sits on a suspension system developed by BMW's M Sport department.

BMW X3 M

The 2021 BMW X3 M is the highest and speediest of the four 2021 BMW X3 trim levels. The X3 M offers 473 horsepower and the option between seven stylish exterior colors. Capable of achieving a 0 to 60 mile per hour time of 4.1 seconds, the X3 M has an upgraded engine and suspension system.
