The 840i comes with a 3.0L turbocharged engine built with 335hp. You can drive it in rear wheel drive or all wheel drive with the inline six cylinder powertrain. These next three cars are all 4.4L twin turbocharged V8 engines. The M850i has 523hp. Next, the Alpina B8 has 612hp, and last the M8 Competition has 617hp.
The 8 Series handles well with weighted steering around curves. Each vehicle gets between 17 and 21mpg in cities. For highway miles they get between 24 and 29mpg.
