The base powertrain for the M3 gives you 406 pound-feet of torque and 473 horsepower. This includes a six-speed manual transmission and a 3.0-liter twin-turbo inline-six engine. You can also check out the Competition engine which features an eight-speed automatic transmission and puts out 479 pound-feet of torque and 503 horsepower. Rear-wheel drive is standard, but if you prefer all-wheel drive, you can get this instead.
When you are driving the base powertrain with rear-wheel drive, you will get approximately 23 miles per gallon on the highway and 16 miles per gallon in the city. Should you get the all-wheel drive, you can expect about 22 miles per gallon on the highway.
